Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Notch Money, Inc. ("Notch") for your use of notchmoney.io and the Notch apps (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Notch, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Who can use Notch
You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Tell us right away at hello@notchmoney.io if you think someone else has accessed it.
What Notch is, and isn't
Notch helps you see and organize your finances: accounts, spending, budgets, investments, real estate, and plans for the future. Notch is not a bank, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, or financial planner. Everything in Notch, including Ask Notch, plans, calculators, lessons and market information, is for educational and informational purposes only and is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Plans and projections are estimates, not promises. Consider talking with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Your financial accounts
When you connect an account, you authorize Notch and our partner Plaid to access your account information on your behalf. Access is read-only; Notch cannot move money. Information from your financial institutions may sometimes be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and Notch isn't responsible for errors in data provided by third parties. Please check important numbers against your official statements.
Households and partners
You can invite a partner to your household. Each person has their own login, and you control what is shared in Settings → Household. Only invite people you trust to see the information you choose to share.
Subscriptions and billing
- New accounts include a 7-day free trial. The trial includes every Notch Pro feature. After the trial, Notch Lite costs $12.99 per month or $99 per year, and Notch Pro costs $24.99 per month or $199 per year, per household, unless a different price is shown when you subscribe. You can switch plans anytime; changes are prorated.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Membership, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods.
- If we change prices, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price will apply at your next renewal.
Student offer
College students with a school email address ending in .edu can get 3 months of Notch free after confirming that address. The offer is limited to one per student, per school email and per household, needs no payment method, and doesn't renew automatically. When it ends, you can choose a paid plan or stop using Notch. We may change or end the student offer for new sign-ups at any time, and may cancel it if it's misused.
Gift subscriptions
You can buy Notch as a gift of 3 months, 6 months or 1 year with a one-time payment. Gifts are not subscriptions and don't renew. Gift codes don't expire, can be redeemed once, and have no cash value. If the recipient already pays for Notch, the gift time is added before their next charge. If a gift hasn't been redeemed and something went wrong, email hello@notchmoney.io and we'll help.
Using Notch responsibly
Please don't misuse Notch. For example, don't try to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with or overload the Service, reverse engineer it, use it for anything unlawful, or connect accounts you aren't authorized to access.
Your content
Information you add to Notch stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers
Notch is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that Notch will always be available, error-free, or that information shown is accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Notch Money, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or financial losses resulting from decisions you make using the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms or put other users or the Service at risk, and will try to give notice when we reasonably can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and Notch consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are meaningful, we'll update the date at the top and notify you in advance by email or in the app. Continuing to use Notch after changes take effect means you accept them.
